Ty planted tomatoes, potatoes, corn, peas, beans, onions, zucchini, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, pumpkins and watermelon.

Helena is growing peas, pumpkins, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, watermelon, wildflowers and old fashioned garden flowers.
GARDEN PLANT 2021!
Trace and Helena Oster planted their gardens on Sunday, May 16.
Trace decided at the last minute to make his garden space larger...... Under the close supervision of his dad, Travis, he learned how to run the Garden tractor and Rototiller.
"Memaw" (Grandma Shirley Parker) came over and helped miss Helena get her seeds planted too.
Now they are patiently waiting for some rain and sunshine to work their magic!
OSTER GARDEN UPDATE: July 15, 2021
The Gardens really growing this year with the HEAT & SUNSHINE!!
Watering has been the biggest job...... along with weeding, as you can see that sometimes gets neglected 😂
Helena is very pleased with her peas, her garden section is the small in the picture with the red flowers. Her potatoes just started blooming this past week!
Trace is managing the larger garden space this year.
We have been using the onion tops for the past 3 weeks or so now..... YUMM!
The pumpkins are also flowering, WooHoo!!!
Owen is 9 years old, from Greenstreet, SK. His parents are Steve Nugent and Jill McKenzie.
This year Owen has started Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes and Peppers under the lights and in the greenhouse.
Owen and his brother helped start seeds under lights in March/early April. Above, Owen is moving tomatoes out to the greenhouse. We bring them in every night, along with the peppers and flowers.
Here, Owen is checking on the cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cabbage. These stay in the greenhouse overnight under plastic. They have survived -8 out there and Owen is glad he doesn’t have to carry them in every night. Soon we will put some romaine in our cold frames and plant the broccoli out in raised beds with protection.
Owen is tending to his cabbage and Brussel sprouts, making sure they are looked after in the cool nights!
OWEN'S GARDEN UPDATE - June 18, 2021.
Owen's whole garden is up, except for the carrots. He has many, many weeds to pull!
The top left photo is his pumpkin plants.
Check out those tomatoes coming in the top right picture - Owen started these plants from seed.
The bottom pictures is Owen watering his lettuce in the cold frames and checkout how big his lettuce is getting in the greenhouse!
OWEN'S GARDEN UPDATE - July 15, 2021

BRIAR & BRANTLY GARDEN UPDATE: June 25, 2021
Everything is up and growing in Briar & Brantly's Garden. They hired their dad to help them till the garden and hill the potatoes on Father's Day.
BRIAR & BRANTLY GARDEN UPDATE: July 23, 2021
Briar & Brantly have been busy weeding and watering in this heat between days at the lake. They have gotten to try tomatoes, peas and lettuce so far!
We had our garden patch kids come and setup their tables at the store the same day we hosted the "Back to School Fashion show".
It was so great!!!
Kids, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
This event was kind of planned a little last minute.
With the summer being so hot, everyone's gardens seemed to be ready early.
It was unfortunate that Briar & Brantly weren't able to join us. However I am sure they are enjoying their garden produce 😍
Stay tuned, we will be running "The Garden Patch" again in 2022.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
To all of our Participants and parents 🥳
